Feb 28th 2010 - The AMVETS Post 409 will officially be presented their Charter on February 28^th, 2010 at 2:00 pm. The AMVETS State Commander and other State officials will be in attendance.

Saturday April 24, 2010 - the 10th Annual Choppers for Charity & Hogs Against Hunger Charity Run. Escorted by Police , AMVETS Post 409 and the Green Knights MC.� This will also be AMVETS RIDERS POST 409 1st Annual Bike Blessing. �Registration starts at 11 a.m. at Native Pride Travel Plaza Irving, NY . MISSION

We, the AMVETS Riders Post 409, are a committed and patriotic group of motorcycle riders. We hold true to an unwavering respect of our military Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, Airmen, and others deployed in harms way; Veterans past, current and in the future. We are also committed to preserving freedom, and supporting Veterans and active military personnel and providing community service through our AMVETS Riders Post 409 Gowanda, NY.

HISTORY

AMVETS Post 409 was established after a group of Veteran friends, also known as the Four Horsemen, discussed ideas on how to serve other Veterans and the Communities that they live in. After discussion and support from the American Legion Post 409 the decision to start an AMVETS chapter was established. Shortly thereafter AMVETS POST 409 was born and in turn the AMVETS Riders Post 409.

Chapter Charter Presentation

On 2/21/2010 AMVETS Riders National President "Dutch" Stivason & National Secretary "Tincups" Judge presented AMVETS Riders Post 409 with it's Chapter Charter at a brief ceremony conducted at our Post, 100 Legion Drive, Gowanda, NY.
